TRAVEL TO MALLORCA

Here Are Some Travel Tips to Help You Get Here With Ease!

FLIGHTS

Fly Into
Aeropuerto de Son Sant Joan, Palma de Malllorca (PMI)

TRANSPORTATION

If you’re staying for several days, the most convenient way to get around Mallorca is to rent a car, as taxi / Uber services are quite limited.

We have rented cars out of the Palma airport with no problem and the car rental area is easy to find. Most of the global car rental companies operate out of Palma airport.
If you prefer not to rent a car, taxis are readily available at the airport, and private transfers can also be arranged in advance. We also recommend checking with your hotel directly, as many offer shuttle services.

On all event days, round-trip transportation will be provided from and back to the recommended hotels. A detailed transportation schedule, including pick-up and return times, will be shared closer to the date.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation in Mallorca is wonderfully varied. For guests who prefer staying together, there is a wide selection of Airbnb properties and private villas across the island, ideal for group stays.

For those who prefer a hotel experience, we recommend focusing on the areas of Deià and Port de Sóller. Both offer beautiful natural surroundings, sea and mountain views, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, with easy access to the event locations.

Below you will find a selection of hotels we recommend in these areas.

SA PEDRISSA

Perched on the cliffs between Deià and the Mediterranean, Sa Pedrissa is an intimate adults-only retreat offering breathtaking sea views and a deeply tranquil atmosphere. With its understated design, natural surroundings, and sense of privacy, it is ideal for guests seeking a peaceful and refined stay close to nature.

LA RESIDENCIA, A BELMOND HOTEL

Nestled in the Tramuntana mountains above the village of Deià, Belmond La Residencia offers a serene retreat surrounded by olive groves, stone terraces, and breathtaking views. Known for its artistic spirit, refined service, and timeless Mallorcan charm, it is an exceptional choice for guests seeking privacy, nature, and understated elegance.

ES MOLÍ HOTEL

Set on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean, Hotel Es Molí offers a relaxed and authentic Mallorcan experience surrounded by gardens, olive trees, and open sea views. With its peaceful atmosphere, generous outdoor spaces, and easy access to Deià and the Tramuntana coastline, it is a lovely option for guests seeking comfort, nature, and tranquility.

HOTEL CORAZÓN

Perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, Hotel Corazón is a unique and creative retreat set amid pine forests and sea views. Known for its bohemian spirit, artistic atmosphere, and relaxed luxury, the hotel offers beautifully designed spaces, a stunning pool area, and a strong connection to nature. It is an ideal choice for guests looking for something special, inspiring, and deeply connected to the landscape of Mallorca.

GRAN HOTEL SÓLLER

Located in the heart of Sóller, Gran Hotel Sóller is an elegant boutique hotel set in a beautifully restored historic building. Combining classic charm with modern comfort, it offers spacious rooms, refined interiors, and a tranquil courtyard with a pool. Its central location makes it perfect for exploring the town, the surrounding Tramuntana mountains, and the nearby coastline, while enjoying a sophisticated and relaxed stay.

HOTEL L'AVENIDA

Housed in a striking early 20th-century modernist mansion, Hotel l’Avenida is a stylish boutique hotel situated in the center of Sóller. With its intimate atmosphere, thoughtfully designed rooms, and peaceful garden and pool area, the hotel offers a refined yet welcoming experience. It is a wonderful option for guests seeking comfort, character, and a central base from which to enjoy Sóller and its surroundings.

FAQ

What should I wear?

We love to dress up and can’t wait to do so in such a beautiful place. Nothing would make us happier than seeing you have fun with it — you might even upstage us! We chose Mallorca because of its storied architecture, vibrant colors, and stunning outdoor venues. All events will take place outside. Ladies, feel free to wear heels, but please keep in mind that some areas include cobblestone, grass, or slightly uneven terrain. Parts of our wedding venue are over 800 years old.

What will the temperature be like in late October in Mallorca?

Late October in Mallorca is generally very pleasant. Daytime highs are typically in the low 70s°F (around 21–23°C), and evenings can drop into the high 50s to low 60s°F (around 14–17°C). We recommend bringing a light wrap or jacket for after sunset.

How long will each event last?

One of the reasons we chose to get married in Spain is because they truly know how to celebrate! The Wedding will be our longest event, starting at 4:30 PM and continuing well into the night. While Spanish weddings can go until 5 or 6 AM, we promise ours will end a bit earlier.

The Welcome Party on Friday will take place from 5:00–7:00 PM with food provided. It will be a standing cocktail-style reception, with enough food to serve as dinner.

The Pool Day after the wedding will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until after sunset. Food and cocktails will be provided. Join us for an hour or stay the whole afternoon — the event will take place at a beach club right on the water, and we look forward to one last celebration together.

Are children welcome?

We know many of you are traveling a long distance to celebrate with us, and we truly appreciate it. While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. If you are bringing children on your trip, we are happy to provide recommendations for trusted nannies or babysitters during the events. Children are welcome to join us for the Pool Day after the wedding — please just let us know in advance.

OUR STORY

In May of 2022, Caroline went out to dinner with a friend and ended up meeting the love of her life. One of Caroline’s closest friends (and bridesmaid), Shelly, was moving from San Francisco to London, so they decided to celebrate at one of San Francisco’s most beloved restaurants, Lazy Bear, a two Michelin star restaurant.

On a random Tuesday night, they enjoyed over 10 courses, many glasses of wine, and reminisced about their wonderful memories in San Francisco. The team at Lazy Bear — and one charming sommelier in particular — made sure the evening felt magical. After a kitchen tour from Chef/Owner David and a round of Paper Planes, Shelly asked Caroline if she could leave her number for Daniel, whom Caroline had really enjoyed meeting that night. They tore out the last page of the menu, Shelly slipped Daniel the piece of paper on the way out, and he texted the next day. Caroline and Daniel have dated ever since.

Caroline later found out that Daniel had actually seen them writing down the number and was briefly disappointed when he thought it was being given to someone else.
After a first date at what is now their favorite restaurant, Kitchen Istanbul, both were completely smitten. A few weeks later, Caroline accidentally said “I love you” as Daniel was dropping her off at work. They laughed about it soon after — and then said it for real.

After dating for a couple of years, they took a two-month trip around the world, something they had always wanted to do before getting engaged. During the trip, they visited New Zealand, Japan, and Spain. While New Zealand and Japan were new for both of them, Spain had long been one of their favorites and was the first country they added to their world travel list. During college and afterward, Daniel lived in Spain for nearly three years and was excited to share many of his favorite places with Caroline.

During that trip, they talked often about the future and marriage, fell even more in love, and discussed how fun “it could be” to get married in Spain — even if it felt unlikely at the time.
In February of 2025, Daniel proposed to Caroline in Palm Springs with a ring they designed together, inspired by both of their grandmothers’ wedding rings. Soon after their engagement, they began planning their wedding and considered many beautiful places they love, grew up in, or had visited — but found themselves comparing every location to their beloved Spain.

We are so excited to bring you to what we believe is one of the most beautiful places in the world — a place that combines so many things we love: the ocean, mountains, incredible food and wine, and outdoor dinner parties with great music under the stars. We hope you can make it and are so thankful to have each one of you in our lives and as part of our story.
